Design Brief
The Hong Kong Jockey Club was the largest client during my time at the design agency Harmonic Scene, and I was honored to serve as the lead designer on multiple key projects for them. Here, I am showcasing two of the most exciting print material projects I worked on: the Japan Exclusive Raceday and Sustain Active Rate Envelope Design.

Key Visual Design
I was responsible for developing the key visuals that set the creative direction, ensuring consistency across all related deliverables, including social media, print materials, and on-site branding. I worked directly with the HKJC team throughout the projects, from conceptual discussions to final approvals,.
JAPAN CUP The Japan Cup Designated Priority Box Office Exclusive Raceday is one of the premium events held by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, celebrating one of Japan’s richest and most prestigious horse races, showcasing top thoroughbreds from around the world.
For this project, I developed the key visual system, using the Japanese flag’s iconic red circle as the focal point to represent Japan’s identity while ensuring it would feel premium and elegant. To soften the intensity of the strong red and add depth, I incorporated gold brush textures and a subtle traditional Japanese wave pattern into the design, balancing boldness with refinement. This approach helped convey the high stakes and heritage of the Japan Cup while aligning with the luxurious positioning of the event.

HKJC Sustain Active Rate Program
Print Production
The Hong Kong Jockey Club holds monthly member promotion events and sought a premium, unique envelope design to surprise their exclusive members.
To fulfill this request, I designed the envelope to resemble a gift box, creating a sense of anticipation and delight upon receipt. I incorporated racing elements and strong contrasting colors on the cover, aligning with HKJC’s brand while ensuring the piece stood out among members’ mail. The final design balanced a sense of luxury with the excitement of racing, reinforcing the exclusivity of HKJC’s premium member experience.
