Polaron Energy Independent Contractor

Social Media, Print & Digital Design, Video Editing

Design Brief

As an independent contractor, I developed new digital templates for Facebook and Instagram, establishing hero brand colors for Polaron’s online presence. I designed brochures for industry energy shows and produced video edits for the company’s YouTube channel.

Digital Template

When I started this project, Polaron’s digital branding was inconsistent—created by various contractors without an in-house designer. My first goal was to bring visual harmony and structure. I built a new social media template system using their original orange and blue palette, enhanced with a youthful gradient for a more energetic, eye-catching online presence. I streamlined color and typography usage to ensure the brand looked cohesive and professional across all digital platforms. The transformation was clear and impactful—solid, consistent, and instantly recognizable.

Brochure Design

As an energy company, Polaron regularly participates in events with various organizers, and one of my main tasks was to design corporate brochures for potential clients. A key challenge was the lack of high-quality images and visual assets. To overcome this, I trained an AI image system to generate realistic, on-brand visuals suitable for print production. This allowed me to create a polished, professional brochure that effectively represented the company’s vision. You can also see the contrast between the marketing and commercial materials—where the digital side embraces a younger, fresher tone, while the print design maintains a more corporate and trustworthy image. Please refer to the attached PDF for the final outcome.

Video Editing

I was also responsible for video editing for Polaron’s Facebook and YouTube channels. Most videos focused on educating audiences about clean energy and showcasing completed client projects. Using the provided soundtrack and script, I selected and edited the right clips to create cohesive, informative videos. While this work was less complex than my past editing projects, it was a great experience that strengthened my skills in producing professional corporate videos.

Outcome

While most of my previous projects focus on creative storytelling and visual experimentation, this role highlighted my ability to design within a corporate framework. I helped Polaron establish a cohesive and professional brand presence—transforming a previously inconsistent visual system into a clear, structured, and modern identity. This experience strengthened my skills in creating polished, on-brand visuals even in a highly regulated and non–design-driven environment.
